You are safe in the knowledge that your special day is being conducted in a discreet and courteous manner, leaving you to relax and enjoy your special occasion, confident in the knowledge that you have engaged a competent and professionally qualified toastmaster, director of people, diplomat, announcer, and compère, an expert in protocol, procedure, and etiquette.
Stephen’s career started approximately 30 year’s ago as a Director of Ceremonies, which led him to become a Provincial Assistant Director of Ceremonies for “The Province of Warwickshire”. With the confidence and experience this gave him, he was able to progress and become a Professional Toastmaster and a member of the Circle of Toastmasters.
A Toastmaster can help relieve the pressure lending an air of quiet professionalism and making sure everything goes exactly as planned. Stephen has the experience, sincerity and style to provide just the right level of individually tailored service. Tact, and a gift for seeing potential problems before they arise are just two of the qualities of a Professional Toastmaster.
To most people attending a function, the only visible signs of a Toastmaster’s presence are the relatively few announcements he makes. A Toastmaster is, in fact , an expert in procedure and etiquette, who adds dignity as well as presence to each and every occasion. Professionally trained and qualified Toastmasters are increasingly engaged because they have the combination of tact, diplomacy, management skills, and a discrete unobtrusive attention to detail.
A Toastmaster works in close liaison with his client to ensure the effective overall management of every type of event, which calls for a degree of formality. He possesses a high degree of sensitivity and empathy, together with breadth and depth of knowledge of protocol and event organisation. Ninety percent of a Toastmaster’s activity is never seen by the majority of people attending a function but at the end of the day, you will get the event you have dreamed about.
Everyone can rely on a professional toastmaster’s activities, on his specialist knowledge of correct procedure, etiquette, and protocol. The dignity and importance of the occasion are of the highest priority, as these reflect the reputation of the host and hostess. Much of the Toastmaster’s activity is behind the scenes liaising with the venue staff and the other support services including photographers, videographers, bands, DJs, and entertainers.
A Toastmaster is responsible for ensuring the program and event runs smoothly, on time, and that all the important people at the event are introduced in a complimentary, professional manner. Being a successful Master of Ceremonies requires, preparation, a friendly manner, a good voice, dignified appearance, very warm personality, sharp eye for detail, intelligent approach, a strong awareness of the importance of teamwork at any event, and one who is willing to travel to any location within the UK and Overseas.
The Toastmaster or Master of Ceremonies is the “conductor” of an event and can help relieve the pressure lending an air of quiet professionalism and confirming that everything goes to plan. The primary responsibility is to serve as a genial host. Someone who has poise, presence, and the ability to transform your special day into something truly memorable with the style to provide just the right level of individually tailored service, guaranteeing that all important people are introduced in a complementary and professional manner.
Stephen has the experience and ability to assist clients with any function whether it is a joyous wedding, civic or civil occasion, Diplomatic or corporate event, gala banquet or dinner, garden or cocktail party, birthday or family celebration, charitable event, opening ceremony, trade show or conference, military event or dinner, Masonic dinner and ladies festival, sporting presentation, and many more. A professional Toastmaster will bring style and experience to any event.
Stephen likes to contact every potential Bride and Bridegroom, and the Bride’s parents prior to them deciding whether they would like me to work with them. This gives them an opportunity to ask me questions and I have the opportunity to tell them how I get involved with the planning of the day, and can provide a great deal of advice on many aspects that maybe they hadn’t even considered, but if it is not possible to meet I will phone the Bride to establish her requirements. This enables me to work with her as a personal assistant throughout the planning of the wedding and her special day. This initial meeting is of course free (though a cup of coffee is most welcome).
This can depend on a number of factors, firstly the arranged informal meeting and the distance traveled, the amount of time required to plan the event , the time a Toastmaster is required at the official occasion, and again the distance involved, complexity of the event and number attending is to name but a few. It is fair to say you may find someone more competitive, but then if you pay cheaply you may not be guaranteed that your special occasion will be the success you would hope it to be. There is no going back for a second opportunity if an amateur, inexperienced, or unprofessional Toastmaster is officiating at your one off special day, by then it is too late.
Everyone can rely on a professional Toastmaster’s activities, on his specialist knowledge of correct procedure, etiquette, and protocol. The dignity and importance of the occasion are of the highest priority, as these reflect the reputation of the host organisation. Much of the Toastmaster’s activity is behind the scenes. He is meticulous in his attention to every detail, and continually liaises with all concerned to ensure that every occasion runs smoothly, whether it be a wedding occasion or civil ceremony you can be assured your special day is controlled by The Elite Toastmaster, Stephen Townsend .
